HTG has built nearly 6,000 multifamily housing units, including affordable student housing and market-rate housing. It is the largest developer of affordable housing in Florida.
Matthew was an attorney in a large firm before joining Housing Trust Group. He was involved in transactions worth over $1 billion, including acquisitions, development, and re-financings.
Since 2011, he has been President and CEO at HTG. He is also a strong advocate for affordable housing, working with legislators, industry leaders, and public officials to create policies that benefit working-class families and communities.
He was elected to the Coalition of Affordable Housing Providers Board of Directors in 2017. This strategic alliance of nonprofit and for-profit developers, professional service providers, and professional services providers is dedicated to providing affordable and safe housing for Floridians.
Matthew is a Miami native and third-generation Floridian. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography at the University of Florida.
He is an active member in good standing of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, and Wade's World Foundation.
